The Dileep-starrer Bha Bha Ba continues its impressive run at the Kerala box office, registering an estimated ₹14-crore gross in just three days and signalling a solid commercial comeback for its leading star. The film, which opened to packed early-morning shows and celebratory fan screenings, has shown remarkable hold across single screens and multiplexes, especially in major centres like Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram, Kozhikode and Thrissur.

After a strong Day 1 that revived the mass aura around Dileep, the film maintained healthy footfalls on Days 2 and 3 as well, driven by positive word-of-mouth from family audiences and fans of commercial entertainment. Exhibitors are particularly pleased with the festive theatrical response, noting that the comedy-action formula has drawn crowds cutting across demographics.
One of the highlights contributing to the buzz is the special appearance of Malayalam superstar Mohanlal, whose portions have been widely appreciated for elevating the mass appeal of the narrative. Fans have celebrated the Dileep–Mohanlal combination on social media, helping boost the film’s visibility beyond Kerala.

Industry trackers believe that the movie’s energetic packaging—racy screenplay, punchy humour, popular music, references aimed at the youth, and nostalgic callbacks—has been the key to its traction. Gopi Sundar’s music, the electric interval stretch and the overall vibe of a “theatre celebration movie” have worked in the film’s favour.

Trade analysts also point out that the numbers are significant given the current theatrical climate, where only a few Malayalam titles have been able to cross the double-digit mark in the opening weekend. With strong weekend occupancy and sustaining evening shows, Bha Bha Ba is now positioned for a steady weekday run.

If the momentum continues, the film could emerge as one of the notable commercial performers of the season. With no major local competition immediately threatening its screen count, the team behind Bha Bha Ba will be keen to capitalise further in the coming days.
For fans, however, the verdict is clear—Dileep is back in full-on entertainer mode, Mohanlal’s extended cameo is a bonus treat, and Bha Bha Ba has delivered what it promised: loud laughs, mass swagger and money-worth entertainment.
