Director Lokesh Kanagaraj Opens Up on How ‘Coolie’ Took Shape
In a recent interaction, acclaimed filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj shared insights into the origin of his much-anticipated film ‘Coolie’, starring Superstar Rajinikanth.Revealing how the project initially came about, Lokesh said, “They first approached me to play a negative character in the film Parasakthi. I used to act, but I had stopped acting for some reason.” However, things took a different turn soon after.
He went on to explain that work on Coolie had already begun during that phase. It was during this time that Sivakarthikeyan’s brother made a significant remark. “He said this story should be good,” Lokesh recalled, indicating how that encouragement helped solidify his focus on the project.
