Emraan Hashmi and Disha Patani Begin Month-Long Bangkok Schedule for Awarapan 2
Bollywood star Emraan Hashmi is all set to reprise his iconic role as Shivam in Awarapan 2, nearly 17 years after the original film captured audiences with its intense storyline and memorable music. Joining him in this highly anticipated sequel is actress Disha Patani, who plays the female lead.
The cast and crew have now kicked off a month-long shooting schedule in Bangkok, which is expected to cover more than half of the film’s narrative. According to reports, the sequel’s core conflict unfolds in Bangkok, making this overseas schedule a crucial leg of production. Packed with high-octane action, drama, and emotional depth, these sequences will shape much of the film’s gripping storyline.
Directed by Nitin Kakkar and produced by Vishesh Bhatt under the Vishesh Films banner, Awarapan 2 marks the revival of one of Emraan Hashmi’s most beloved characters. The first film, released in 2007, enjoys cult status among fans, particularly for its powerful soundtrack. The makers are keen on recreating the same magic, with a fresh album that blends soulful melodies and chart-topping tracks.
Following the Bangkok stint, another schedule is planned for November, with the team targeting a wrap by January 2026. The film is slated to release on April 3, 2026, giving fans plenty to look forward to.
