Though not a household name yet, Mobland clearly resonated with him, especially given his penchant for dark, intense storytelling.
Lokesh Kanagaraj, one of the most exciting filmmakers in Indian cinema today, has carved a niche for himself with his gripping narratives, morally complex characters, and interconnected cinematic universe — fondly known as the Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU). On the work front, he has much-awaited Rajinikanth’s Coolie which is slated to hit the screens on August 14th. The film also stars Tollywood senior star Nagarjuna, Uppendra and Shruthi Haasan in a key roles. In the same interaction, Lokesh has revealed that he is paid Rs 50 crore for the film, Coolie just because his previous film, Leo collected a gross of Rs 600 crore at the box office.
