Nivin Pauly Joins Raghava Lawrence’s ‘Benz’ as the Antagonist in Lokesh Cinematic Universe
In an exciting development for South Indian cinema fans, acclaimed Malayalam actor Nivin Pauly has officially joined the cast of ‘Benz’, the upcoming Tamil film starring Raghava Lawrence in the lead role. This project marks Pauly’s debut as a full-fledged antagonist and his entry into the highly-anticipated Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU).
A Chilling New Villain in the LCU
Nivin Pauly will be seen portraying the menacing character Walter in Benz, a role that has already created buzz with a striking character teaser. Clad in a blood-smeared robe, adorned with gold teeth, and wielding a hammer, Nivin’s avatar promises an intense, raw, and villainous performance unlike anything seen in his previous films.
The film is being directed by Bakkiyaraj Kannan and is the fourth official installment in the Lokesh Cinematic Universe, following the massive successes of Kaithi, Vikram, and Leo. While Lokesh Kanagaraj is not directing this film, he remains closely associated as a creative producer, continuing to expand the narrative world he has built.
A Landmark Tamil Role for Nivin Pauly
Benz will be Nivin Pauly’s fourth Tamil outing after Neram (2013), Richie (2017), and Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai (2024). Known for his versatile performances in Malayalam cinema, Pauly’s transition into a mainstream Tamil antagonist adds significant intrigue to the film’s appeal.
