Along with a few films that had a release today, one noted film, titled,28, has also hit the screens on April 4th. Starring Naveen Chandra, Shalini Vadnikati in the lead roles, the film has hit the screens today. Let’s see how it is.

Story:

Being meidos both Karthik ( Naveen Chandra) and Anjali ( Shalini Vadnikati) becomes friends in the medical camp. For obvious reasons, love blooms between them. As their love gets a rejection from their families, they decides to get married. When everything is going fine is their married life, as an unexpected incident, Anjali gets diagnosed with a neuro problem. To overcome it, doctors advice them to shift to a foreign country and warns that any circumstances, the room temperature should not exceed 28 degrees, to make sure that Anjali health is also monitored. Due to cold climate outside, one day Anjali looses her life. Depressed with the news, Karthik becomes an alcoholic. Was Anjali’s natural death? Did anyone killed her? What is the role of Karthik’s neighbor named Geetha? How will Karthik crack the mystery behind Anjali’s death? Forms crucial crux.

The concept of the film is unique and has the scope to explore in a different way.

Adding to it, the performance the lead artists can be termed as one of the plus points. While Naveen Chandra looks cool in his romantic turned aggressive role, Shalini Vadnikati is mesmerizing on the screen with her charm and ease in acting.

Not to forget, the chemistry between Naveen Chandra and Shalini Vadnikati is truly amazing on the screen.

Priyadarshi, Harsha and Ajay as the friend gang are perfect in their given roles. One actress who played Geeta’s character is good with her acting skills. Especially, during the climax portions is stunning.

Minus points:

The film has a slow narration at times which can be termed as a minus for the film.

Lack of racy screenplay comes as a minus for the film.

Technical Aspects:

Director cum Producer of the film Dr. Anil Vishwanath did a decent job.

The music by Shravan Bharadwaj is soothing and enthralling.

The Cinematography work is good but the editing part could have been better. The production values for this limited budget movie are fine.

Verdict:

On the whole, 23 largely engaging thriller that deals with a fresh concept. If you ignore a bit slow narrative, the film will end up as a passable watch during this weekend.
