Biker: A Stylish Action feast (3/5)

Hero Sharwanand, who scored a decent hit during Sankranti season with Nari Nari Nadama Murari is back with a stylish entertainer titled, Biker. Co-starring Hero Rajasekhar in a crucial role, the film is scheduled for April 3rd release with the paid premiers on April 2nd at newly inaugurated Allu Cinemas in Kokapet in Hyderabad. Let’s Review Biker Movie.

Synopsis:

Vikas Narayan, also known as Vicky (Sharwanand), is deeply passionate about bike racing—it’s his life. He looks up to his father, Sunil Narayan (Rajasekhar), whom he loves more than his own life, as his guru and mentor. For Vicky, his father’s word is everything. While Sunil dreams of making Vicky a champion, Vicky suddenly and unexpectedly distances himself from bike racing. This leaves his father extremely angry and disappointed with him. However, keeping his father’s dream in mind, Vicky eventually decides to return to the racing track.

Why does Vikas love bike racing so much? Why did Vicky, who considers his father as his guru, step away from the sport? How did his love story and married life with Ananya (Malavika Nair) unfold? What kind of sacrifice is Vikas willing to make for his son, Ishan Narayan? What is the reason behind Sunil’s rivalry with the industrialist (Atul Kulkarni)? Why does the businessman want to destroy Vikas’s career? How does Vikas take revenge against the businessman who plotted against his father? The answers to all these questions form the story of the film Biker.

Performances:

For Biker, Sharwanand put in immense effort and underwent a complete physical transformation. However, he couldn’t fully showcase his hard work in terms of performance. This is because, as a biker, wearing a helmet and racing gear hid his look, grace, and body language. As a result, the effort he put into the film was not properly projected.

On the other hand, Rajasekhar made a strong comeback with the role of Bullet Sunil. He delivered impressive moments as an angry man and created magic in a few scenes. His style and look were quite appealing.

Atul Kulkarni appeared underwhelming as the villain, which affected the overall impact the film needed. Meanwhile, Malavika Nair and Brahmaji delivered decent performances.

Analysis:

Starts dull and picks up only near the pre-interval. The second half is better in parts but suffers from pacing issues. The bike racing sequences are shot well, with strong production values.

Predictable from start to finish, which is expected for the genre, but the emotions and drama land only in bits and feel mostly bland. The villain and corporate tracks are boring.

It is an honest attempt that falls short of its potential, ending up as an average watchable film with lowered expectations.

Technical Department:

Music by Ghibran is okay to an extent as his sounding during Bike chase sequence has uniqueness and songs wise Biker movie has a couple of songs that are presented well on the screen.

The lavish production values by UV Creations are a major plus for this sports drama. The Cinematography work by Yuva Raj is good and so the editing by Anil Kumar P.

Verdict:

Altogether, Biker is an okayish sports drama that is technically strong and has moments of promise, but ends up feeling lengthy and too generic. But has its moments that will grab the attention of targetted audience for sure during this weekend.
