Good Bad Ugly: Ajith Kumar’s one man show (3.5/5)
Tamil star hero Ajith Kumar’s action entertainer, Good Bad Ugly has been carrying massive expectations among the fans. Directed by Adhik Ravichandran, the film is out on April 10th in Tamil and Telugu simultaneously. Let’s Review it.
Story:
A gangster named AK aka Red Dragon ( Ajith Kumar) will be having a huge network in Mumbai. At the same time he and his family has a life threats from a local gangster( role played by Arjun Das). On the other hand, AK’s wife and his child lives in Spain away from him. What is the reason behind AK’s family living away from him? Who will AK face off with the local gangster? To know that you have to watch the film at your nearest cinemas.

Plus Points:
Undoubtedly, Ajith Kumar is a major asset for this gangster drama. It is a treat to watch in a role that has some much positive energy in it. In one word, AK literally carried the film on his shoulders and pulled off the given character in a convincing manner.
Simran played a special role and her dialogues with vintage reference of ‘Valli’ with AK have worked well. Trisha played to her age and was gorgeous on the screen in sarees. She is convincing as a mother as a teenage boy.
Arjun Das gets a meat role as the antagonist. His character is designed in a stylish manner in which he did cent percent of justice in a dual role. The Confrontation scenes between the hero and villainy gang are designed with in vintage style and worked well on the screen.
Other noted actors like Sunil, Jackie Shroff, Tinnu Anand, Karthikeya Dev, Priya Prakash Varrier, Prabhu, Prasanna, Raghu Ram, Redin Kingsley and Shine Tom Chacko are a perfect pick for their given roles.

Minus Points:
The action part looks over-the-top at times. Too Much of Racy scenes can also be termed as a minus for the film. The film has wafer thin storyline which may not receive universal applause. The drama between AK family didn’t worked at all because entire film runs on the name of AK from opening shot to closing scene.
Technical Department:
Director Adhik Ravichandran hard work is clearly visible in every frame of the movie. His on paper work to design the vintage scenes and interlinking with the contemporary film proceedings is highly appreciable. He proved with the film that he can Handel the stars very well.
The cinematography work is Abinandhan Ramanujam is top-notch as every frame of the film is shaped in a rich manner. The editing work by Vijay Velukutty is decent enough but he would have chopped off a few unwanted action scenes.
The production values by Mythri Movie Makers are lavish and is clearly visible on the screen. Last but not least, the music scored by GV Prakash Kumar is a celebration for fans. His songs are good but his background score and bit songs with a vintage mix which come during the fight sequence are superb and elevates the mood of the film.

Verdict:
All in all, Good Bad Ugly is Ajith Kumar’s one man show and has enough clap-worthy moments for fans. The film has some energetic screen presence for Ajith Kumar which is missing for him for the past few years. If you are Ajith fan and love to watch over the top action, the film is being made for you but ends up as an one-time watch for others.
