Jinn- Engaging Horror Drama (3/5)

A small film titled, Jinn starring Amit Rao and Parvez Simba among others in the key roles under the direction of Chinmay Ram has hit the screens on December 19,2025. Let’s Review it.

Synopsis:

Set against a college backdrop, Jinn unfolds the mystery behind the old college which is already there in the place of new college. How will the four college friends crack the mystery behind it? What is the key suspense element in the plotline? How come a horror aspect plays the proceedings, forms the crucial crux.

Performances:

Amit Rao did a fine job as an actor. His body language is an added advantage for the movie. Parvez Simba did a fine job as an actor which is clearly visible on the screen.Other actors such as Prakash Tuminad, Ravi Bhatt, Sangeetha,Balraj Wadi ,Bhargav Ram, Bhageerath, Appanna ,Prakait, Sandeep ,Abhijeet , Raj Uday and Amrit Sagar did a good performance in their supporting roles.

Analysis:

The film’s story and screenplay was provided by Parvez Simba.He should be appreciated for handling multiple jobs perfectly. Though the screenplay has a few issues here and there, they are nicely covered with a good scene order. Coming to the direction part, Chinmay Ram did a largely convincing job as the director. His padding team in writing a better dialogues by Varadaraj Chikkaballapur helped the movie a lot and makes the audience to involve in the script.

Technical Department:

Music by Alex is fine but his background score is arresting as it elevates a few crucial horror scenes. The Cinematography by Sunil Honnalli is good as he set a right frames for the film which are rustic at times.Editing by Keerthi Raj D is good as he kept the runtime with the limits. The film’s dialogues are written nicely by the writers. Last but not least,the production values by Sadhalamma Film Productions & Bilva Studios are nice.

Verdict:

Altogether, Jinn is an enjoyable Horror Drama that has youthful elements in it. Amit Rao and Parvez Simba’s natural acting added with a decent treatment makes the film a watchable fare for the audience who like Horror and Suspense thrillers.
