Later, How Siddu tracks the mystery behind his father’s death? What is twist in the tale? Forms a crucial crux.

Plus Points:

Sri Harsha is looking handsome and is truly believable in his role and gave a settled performance. He proved his mettle in Dances. Looks- wise, he is charming and if continues to be the same, he has bright chances to emerge as a star. His ease in acting will take him to the places. Sri Harsha worked hard which is visible on the screen.

Coming to SP Charan, he did his part perfectly. As, a Father he is more appealing on screen and takes the command over the proceedings. Nevertheless to say that he is a star material when it comes to films like LYF and in future many more to come his way. Lead heroine Kashika Kapoor has been showcased nicely on the screen. She got a glamour as well as performance oriented role. Others in the friends gang are good in their supported roles. Others such as Praveen and other padding artists are up for a perfect suited roles. Nawab Shah is stylish on screen and portrayed his baddie role perfectly.

Minus Points:

Dr Badram’s comedy track is unwanted and could be chopped off easily. The entire second half narration takes a new turn due to the same. Shakalaka Shankar is also part of the track and diluted the proceedings The production values for this limited budget movie are good. Especially, the Kasi episodes, have come out nicely and it’s due to the providing of sufficient budget wherever it’s required. The director’s on paper idea was decent but when it went for a take, somewhere the ideas got diluted and left the audience in a confusion stage.

Technical Aspects:

As above mentioned, the director’s vision was good but he lost command over the script due to unavailable situations. Music by Mani Sharma is decent as one song between the father and son in the film is good. A couple of love songs between the lead pair are nice.

The cinematography work is decent as the entire film was presented on a colorful note. The editing work could have been better, due to the same the runtime is increased with unwanted portions in the key second half.

Verdict:

All in all, LYF is a fantasy drama between the father and his son but the proceedings are being left due to inexperienced direction and aimless scene order during the second half. Thought the lead artists gave a good performance, it ends up as an okay watch by the end.
