Analysis:

The movie starts off a bit shaky but gradually gets better. Mainly focuses on comedy and treatment on a lighter note as an entertainer that is carried by Chiranjeevi ‘s performance but only entertains in parts.

The first half is passable and brings out Chiru’s comedy timing after a long gap. However, the second half, which starts on a decent note, falters with repetitive comedy that doesn’t land, an ineffective villain track, and the much-hyped Venky sequence that feels superficial and fails to make an impact. The comedy works in parts but feels artificial in other portions.

Chiru is excellent and shoulders the film almost entirely. It’s a one-man show. Songs are good but the background score is not up the mark.

Technical Department:

Music by Bheems Ceciroleo is just good but would have been much better. The cinematography work is good as it showcased each frame in a cool manner.

Editing work is good as the runtime is kept in limits. The production values by Sahu Garapati and Sushmita Konidela are lavish.

Verdict:

Altogether, MSG is a perfect trailer made film that has Chiranjeevi’s vintage style and swag. Be it his dances or action sequences, the film may work with a section of the audience and given the season, but the film had the potential to be much more. Keep your expectations on check and watch the film one and only for Megastar Chiranjeevi.
