On the due date, the couple attends for the joining. Soon after Divya gives birth to a Baby Boy, it will be missing in the hospital premises under mysterious circumstances. What happens to the Baby? Who is behind the missing Baby? The rest of proceedings form the crucial crux.
Performances:
Atharvaa Murali is good in his role which has a multiple shades in it. As usual,Nimisha Sajayan is impressive in her performance oriented role.
Other artists such as Balaji Sakthivel, Ramesh Thilak ,Viji Chandrasekhar , Chetan, Riythvika , Subramaniam Siva ,Karunakaran Pasanga Sivakumar and Bose Venkat are perfect in their supporting roles.
Analysis:
The film has a realistic approach. Be it artists performance or the scene order, the director has taken good care of the script at scripting stage itself.
The Pre-production the team has done is clearly visible on the screen and it helped the movie to enhance in an even better manner. The film has not so good songs which can be termed as a minus point for the film. And most of the movie lacks Telugu nativity. The whole concept of ‘Baby Trafficking’ is handled very careful in such a way that anyone can understand the proceedings easily.
Technical Department:
Music scored by a couple of music composers is fine and the background score by Ghibran Vaibodha is it arresting. The cinematography is neat and special mention to V. J. Sabu Joseph’s editing work as it is sharp without any unwanted scenes in the narrative. The production values for this limited budget movie are okay. The Telugu marketing by Suresh Kondeti is excellent.
Last but not least, the direction by Nelson Venkatesan is superb. More than the direction, it is his strong writing that hooks the audience through the film.
Verdict:
In an overview, My Baby is an emotional drama that hooks the audience from start to finish. Apart from the lead artists performances, the movie was handled well by the director Nelson Venkatesan and gives a satisfactory feel after watching the movie. Hence making it a must watch drama during this weekend.
