Odela 2 Review: Devotionally packed drama (3.5/5)
Story:
The film is continuation of 2022 direct-to-OTT released Odela. In part 2, the film is a fight between a Shiva Shakti aka Nagusadu( Tammanah) and a Shaitan named Tirupati ( Vashita Simha). Set in a village named Odela, How Shiva Shakti character comes to the village? What situations make Tirupati turn as Shaitan? How the present part connected the the previous part? Forms the crucial crux.

Plus points:
Tammanah is a surprise package for the movie. She is outstanding in her typical Shiva Shakti character. Be it her attire or Subtleness in her performance, Tamannaah has nailed it with her ease in her acting.
Vashita Simha is terrific in his role as Shaitan. Be it his body language or his make up for the role is a perfect pick up for the movie. Hebah Patel is fine in her limited role.
The concept of the movie given by Sampath Nandi is good and has many surprise elements in the proceedings. On the other hand, the direction by Ashok Teja is fine as he efficiently handled the movie even though, the script is not his brain child.
Yet another surprise for the movie is the VFX work has been done solidly.

Minus points:
After a racy narration in the first half, the proceedings during the crucial second half drops for almost half an hour.
The intensity in Hebah Patel role has been not executed effectively.
Technical Department:
The photography work is fine as the framing in the entire film looks effective. The editing work is decent but would have been even better during the second half.
As above said, the VFX work has been done perfectly. The key Lord Shiva shots during the ending portions have come out in a lavish manner. The background score is amazing as it takes us into the mood of the film. A couple of situational songs are decent on the screen.
Verdict:
All in all, Odela2 is a devotional treat from the team without any second thought. Those who enjoy devotional films, Odela 2 is a must watch outing for them and can’t be missed.
