Santhana Prapthirasthu: Sensible drama laced with fun moments ( 3/5)
Starring Vikranth Reddy and Chandini Chowdary in the lead roles, a sensible drama, titled, Santhana Prapthirasthu directed by Sanjeev Reddy is out on November 14,2025. Let’s Review it.
Synopsis:
Chaitanya (Vikranth) is a Hyderabad-based software engineer whose introverted nature makes it difficult for him even to initiate a conversation with girls. Life takes an unexpected turn when he meets Kalyani (Chandini Chowdary). What begins as a simple acquaintance gradually blossoms into love, eventually leading them to win over their families and tie the knot. However, their happiness is shaken after marriage when Chaitanya learns that he has a low sperm count. How this young couple faces the emotional and social challenges that follow, and whether they succeed in becoming parents, forms the core of the filmās journey.
Performances:
The lead actor Vikrant Reddy did a fine job as a frustrated guy due to socially challenging circumstances.His natural acting brings depth to the proceedings.
On the other hand, heroine Chandini Chowdary did a fantastic job as a girl next door. Her matured acting adds freshness to the scenes
All other artists are okay in their supporting roles. Especially, Vennela Kishore ‘s comedy evokes good laughs.
Analysis:
Director Sanjeev Reddy should be appreciated for exploring this kind of unique concept in Telugu cinema.
His writing is good and detailing about each character has been done nicely. His screenplay is racy and keeps the audience hooked to the narrative part.
On the whole, Sanjeev Reddy succeeded fully in exploring a sensible subject in a lighter manner with a funny proceedings.
Technical Department:
Songs are decent watch on the screen. The Cinematography work looks good as each character in the movie has been showcased in an attractive manner.
Editing work is adequate. The production values for this limited budget movie are nice.
The film has additional baggage in the form of a laudable art work which gives a rich feel while watching the movie.
Verdict:
Altogether, Santhana Prapthirasthu deals with a serious subject with the current generation but told in a lighter manner to reach the universal audience. Director Sanjeev Reddy has passed the litmus test with a flying colours. The lead artists performance is main highlights of the movie, apart from the film’s concept, making the film a happy weekend watch.
