Shambala: Thrilling supernatural drama (3.5/5)

Aadi Sai Kumar has been waiting for a proper hit since long time. This time he has came with a supernatural thriller  titled, Shambala. The movie is scheduled for a December 25,2025 release with the premiers on December 24th with the night shows. Let’s Review it.

Synopsis:

Set in a mysterious village name Shambala, the film revolves around a astronaut named Ulaka. To verify the whereabouts, a central government appointed person named Vikram ( Aadi Sai Kumar) lands in the village. Meanwhile , the people is that village are fully occupied with a superstition that Ulaka is something came to the earth to create the problems to them. Being a partical man who doesn’t have faith on the God, how will Vikram reacts on the villagers behaviour?  What kind of wierd situations Vikram experience? Will he able to solve the issues the villagers have been facing? That forms the crucial crux. 

Performances:

Aadi Sai Kumar did a fine job as a geo scientist who creates awareness among the public. His natural acting builds the scene order in an outstanding way. 

Apart from his acting, the film has a scope for another artists like Swasika Vijay,Ravi Varma , Madhunandan , Shiva Karthik and 

Harsha Vardhan  did a good performance in their given supporting roles.

Looks wise, heroine Archana Iyer is captivating on the screen and gets a powerful role as Devi which has a twist in the plotline. 

Analysis:

Writer cum director Ugandhar Muni’s hardwork is clearly visible while watching the film because his detailing on each character of the movie has been nicely handled. 

But his scene order dropped a bit at regular intervals which would have been rectify at the scripting stage itself to avoid the dullness in the proceedings.If he would have focused a writing a racy screenplay, the result would have been unanimous. 

A few initial episodes of astronaut hitting the earth have been effectively canned. The backstory behind the main story the scenes are being narrated with a proper voice over by dialogue king Sai Kumar.

Technical Department:

Sricharan Pakala’s music is haunting and arresting. The cinematography work by Praveen K. Bangari is captivating as his framing has a rich colour texture which takes us into the world of Shambala. 

Shravan Katikaneni’s editing work is decent but would have been even better by trimming unwanted episodes. The artwork by JK Murthy is good as he created the Shambala village quite effectively.

Stunts composed by Rajkumar are natural and script involved. Especially , the hero introduction fight has been Choreographed is an authentic manner. Costume designer by Ayesha Maryam are good and has a vintage feel. 

Verdict:

Altogether, Shambala is gripping supernatural thriller that has enough elements to satisfy the audience. Though the pace of the movie dips in the second half, it again picks up during last 20 minutes making the film a must watch among this weekend releases.
