Single: A laugh riot (3.25/5)

Single starring Sree Vishnu in the lead role has created a good buzz among the targeted youth audience. Directed by Caarthick Raju, the film has hit the screens on May 9th. Let’s Review it.

Story:

Vijay (Sree Vishnu) is a single guy who desperately awaits to mingle with some girl and be in a relationship. On  the other hand, Vijay’s friend also in the same frequency keeps on poking him to be a relationship. At the point in time, two girls come to Vijay with a proposal. What will Vijay do now? Whome will he pick among the two beautiful girls? What happens towards the climax, forms the crucial crux.

Performances:

Sree Vishnu and Vennela Kishore carry this one on their shoulders with their comic timing and one liners. While Sree Vishnu is apt in his role as a single guy and energetic role, Vennela Kishore evokes good laughs with his typical comedy timing.

Lead actresses were apt in their respective roles but their characters felt underwritten. The setup created is good and worked out well in the proceedings.

Analysis:

Single is a passable timepass comedy entertainer that has fun entertaining moments but feels underwritten at certain portions especially in the latter half.

Though the plot is simple and straightforward, the first half has entertaining moments that work well. The second also has these moments but falters when trying to introduce an emotional angle in a hurry and also a climax that feels rushed and unfinished.

Technical Department:

Somewhat better music could have worked very well for this comedy entertainer. The photography work is nice and so was the work done by editing department.

The production values for this comedy drama by Geeta Arts banner are rich and lavish. The set property work has been done in a captivating manner.

Verdict:

All in all, Single is an out and out entertainer but has some flaws. Considering the genre, it can give it a try for the entertainment it provides. In one word, Single is perfect summer treat especially for #Singles
