Robinhood is a heist action comedy film written and directed by Venky Kudumula and produced by Mythri Movie Makers. The film stars Nithiin and Sreeleela in the lead role, alongside Vennela Kishore, Rajendra Prasad, Devdatta Nage and Shine Tom Chacko. The film was released on March 28th as Ugadi special and received mixed reports from the audience and critics alike.
Meanwhile, the latest update is that the film’s OTT deal has been locked. Reportedly, the OTT rights of the film are snapped by leading OTT platform Netflix for a reasonable prize. The OTT rights are bagged by the streaming platform for a prize of about Rs 35 crores.
The soundtrack and background score were composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar, while the cinematography and editing was handled by Sai Sriram and Koti. Robinhood was set to theatrically release on 25 December 2024, coinciding with Christmas, but was postponed for undisclosed reasons. The film was later released on 28 March 2025.
As the OTT deal is locked, the digital platform is planning to release the film online in this month itself and exact date will be finalized in a couple of days. Robinhood is two second outing from the director and actor duo after 2020 hit, Bheeshma.
