Ram Pothineni’s Andhra King Taluka Nears Completion, Netflix Bags OTT Rights
The shoot for Ram Pothineni’s upcoming mass entertainer Andhra King Taluka is fast approaching the finish line. Production is progressing swiftly, and the makers are expected to wrap things up soon — with the traditional pumpkin-breaking ceremony likely just around the corner.
Currently, key sequences featuring Ram and the film’s female lead, Bhagyashri Borse, are being shot in Hyderabad. The film is being helmed by Mahesh Babu P., who previously directed the hit Miss Shetty Mr. Polishetty.
In a move to build momentum ahead of the release, the makers have decided to kickstart musical promotions. The first single from the film’s album, composed by the Vivek–Mervin duo, is all set to drop this Friday.
Meanwhile, the team has locked a major digital deal — Netflix has acquired the post-theatrical streaming rights to Andhra King Taluka. With the OTT landscape currently facing a slump, bagging a deal with a top platform like Netflix is a significant achievement for the film.
The project also features noted actor Upendra in a prominent role. Set against the vibrant backdrop of Andhra Pradesh’s intense fan culture, Andhra King Taluka is being produced under the prestigious Mythri Movie Makers banner.
