Reputed Telugu streaming platform Aha is back with a wholesome family drama, titled, Home Town. The web series is out the exclusive Telugu streaming platform on April 4th. Let’s review it.
Story:
Set in a small town in Telangana, the show is a simple Nostalgic drama between the middle class having a father, a mother and two kids. The lovely moments between three friends in the school are being presented in an engaging manner. What sort of unexpected incidents happen in their lives? Forms the crucial crux.
Performances:
Rajeev Kanakala is the main pillar for the show. His facial expressions, getup and the performance as the father bring depth to the proceedings.
Main lead Prajwal acting is so natural and so is the acting of other characters portrayed by Anirudh and Sai Ram respectively.
While Prajwal carried the show on his shoulders in his portions, Anirudh as Shastry elevates the scenes with his comic timing and funny mannerisms.
One particular scene between Prajwal’ character along with his friends gang try to miniplate Prasad( Srikanth’s father) is hilarious to the core.
Especially, Sai Ram’s character is hilarious. He performed the given character with so much ease and perfection. His dialogue delivery is too good and his Telangana accent is a major plus for his character.
The emotional daughter character played by Anni is nice and so is the character done by cute girl named Shravya as the meal lead’s Girlfriend but her role is limited to a few episodes. Not be forget, Jhani gave a superb performance as a mother and middle-class homemaker. The chemistry between Rajiv and Jhani has been projected in an authentic manner.

Analysis:
Director did a fantastic job with his writing skills. His screenplay and the way he recreated entire 90’s setup is good and executed the film nicely. The innocence in all characters in the small town named Hanumanthapuram has been grabbed nicely by the director.
Apart from the director, all the other technical team such as the cinematography fantastically fitted to the film. Coming to music by Suresh Bobblli is soothing and catchy. His background score is a plus point for the film. Production values for this show which backed up by the Aha are grand and lavish.
Editing work is okay but could have been better. The cinematography work is neat as the village atmosphere has been presented nicely.
All in all, Home Town is an enjoyable show that can be watched along with the family on Aha during the weekend. If you ignore a few loopholes in editing, the show can be happily watched with the family on Aha.
