Natasimha Nandamuri Balakrishna is on top gear with the success of his recent film, Akhanda. Directed by Boyapati Seenu, the film has collected close to Rs 150 crore worldwide gross and emerged as biggest hit at the box office. On the other hand, his OTT debut show, Unstoppable with NBK is a massive hit among the netizens and Aha subscribers. The show even got 9.2/10 rating on IMDB which is said to be highest among the talk shows that are out in India, to date.
Reportedly, the mass hero will be kick-starting his next project under the direction of Gopichand Malineni from next month if the COVID situation returns normalcy. Being bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers, tentatively titled, NBK107, the film has Shruti Haasan as the female lead and also stars Kannada star Duniya Vijay and actress Varalakshmi Sarathkumar in key roles. Sources also confirm that Balayya will be seen as a cop in the movie and almost 40% of the shooting will take in the USA.
After Gopichand Malineni’s project, Balayya will start shooting for successful director Anil Ravipudi’s project. While Shine Screens banner will be bankrolling the project, Sahu Garapati and Harish Peddi will be producing the film.
Later, for his 109th project, Balakrishna will be collaborating with top producer Allu Arvind’s Geetha Arts banner. Meanwhile, the latest news is that young director Vashista Mallidi, who is directing Kalyam Ram’s upcoming mythological fantasy drama, Bimbisara will be helming Balayya’s project also.
Sources also reveal that Balayya is playing the role of a powerful police officer who decides to eradicate the rowdyism and corruption in the society just six months before his retirement. If the news is to be believed, it needs to be seen how the young director will handle Balayya and present him in a new dimension in the film.
