Dhamaal 4 Box Office Collection: Strong First Weekend Signals Franchise Revival

The much-awaited fourth installment of the popular Dhamaal comedy franchise, Dhamaal 4, directed by Indra Kumar and starring Ajay Devgn alongside Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, Jaaved Jaaferi, and others, has delivered a solid opening weekend at the Indian box office. Released on July 10, 2026, the adventure-comedy has tapped into nostalgia while attracting family audiences with its trademark slapstick humor and treasure-hunt antics.

As per the trade reports, On Day 1 (Friday), Dhamaal 4 collected approximately ₹13.75–15.50 crore net in India across over 10,669 shows, registering an occupancy of around 24%. This marked a respectable debut, outperforming several recent Ajay Devgn releases and competitors like Alia Bhatt’s Alpha, while crossing ₹21.5 crore worldwide gross including ₹5 crore from overseas markets. Evening and night shows saw strong turnout (up to 42% occupancy), indicating positive word-of-mouth.

The real momentum built on Saturday (Day 2), with collections jumping to ₹22.50–23.31 crore net — a growth of nearly 50–60%. This propelled the two-day India net total to around ₹36.50–38.81 crore. Trade analysts noted superb afternoon and evening occupancy driven by families with children, making it one of Bollywood’s strongest Saturdays of 2026 after big releases like Dhurandhar – The Revenge and Border 2. India gross after two days stood near ₹43–45 crore.

With Sunday expected to maintain strong footfalls, the three-day opening weekend is projected to close between ₹60–65 crore net domestically. This performance underscores the enduring appeal of the Dhamaal series, which has evolved from modest beginnings in 2007 to consistent crowd-pullers. The film’s ₹200 crore budget benefits from its clean, multi-generational entertainment value, though some critics noted uneven gags.

Dhamaal 4 builds on predecessors: the original Dhamaal (2007) opened low but found legs, while Total Dhamaal (2019) was a bigger hit. Early trends suggest Dhamaal 4 is on track for a healthy lifetime run, potentially crossing ₹100–150 crore worldwide if it sustains momentum in mass centers. Factors like minimal competition in coming weeks and strong family repeat value will be key.

Overall, Dhamaal 4 reaffirms the power of escapist comedy in Bollywood. As audiences seek light-hearted entertainment amid a crowded marketplace, this ruckus-filled ride proves that laughter still packs a punch at the ticket counter. The film ends with a tease for Dhamaal 5, hinting at more chaos ahead.
