ROOH: Emraan Hashmi Joins Hands with Tips Films for a Musical Horror Film, Set for 2027 Release
A unique cinematic collaboration is officially taking shape in Bollywood! Tips Films’ Kumar Taurani and Girish Kumar have joined hands with Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi for an upcoming film titled ROOH, which promises to bring together three intriguing elements – music, romance, and horror. The makers have announced the project, creating curiosity among movie lovers about this unusual combination of genres.
The film will be directed by Mayank Sharma, who is expected to present a distinctive cinematic experience by blending supernatural elements with romance and music. While horror films have become increasingly popular among Indian audiences, ROOH aims to explore a different approach by making music an integral part of its storytelling.
Emraan Hashmi, known for his performances in films across multiple genres, will be headlining this ambitious project. The actor has previously been associated with several successful musical soundtracks, making his involvement particularly interesting for a film that promises to give music a significant place in its narrative. His association with a musical horror drama has already raised expectations about what the makers are planning to deliver.
The project brings together the production experience of Kumar Taurani and Girish Kumar under the Tips Films banner, along with Vicked Films. Sunny Khanna is also associated with the project. With such a collaboration, ROOH is expected to attract attention as it moves into its production phase.
One of the major highlights of the announcement is the film’s multilingual release plan. ROOH is scheduled to arrive in cinemas in 2027, with releases planned in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. This strategy indicates that the makers are looking to reach audiences beyond the traditional Hindi-speaking market and establish a wider theatrical presence across India.
Another important aspect will be its music, which will be released under the Tips Music label. Considering the production house’s association with memorable Bollywood soundtracks, expectations will naturally be high for the film’s album.
Although further details regarding the storyline, supporting cast, and shooting schedule are yet to be revealed, ROOH has already generated curiosity with its promising combination of genres.
With Emraan Hashmi in the lead, Mayank Sharma at the helm, and Tips Films backing the project, ROOH is shaping up to be an interesting musical horror entertainer to watch out for in 2027.
