Anakapalli, starring Vikram Sahidev, was originally announced for theatrical release on August 7. However, following a series of encouraging developments and the response the film has received, the team has decided to briefly postpone the release.
A special screening of the film was recently held for distributors, and the response was overwhelming. After watching the film, several distributors strongly recommended that the team explore taking Anakapalli beyond the Telugu market, including the possibility of dubbing and releasing the film in Tamil, Malayalam and other languages.
At the same time, the film has also generated keen interest from OTT platforms. Considering these developments, the team felt that instead of rushing into the previously announced release date, it would be better to evaluate these opportunities and plan a wider and more effective release.
But before taking that decision, there is one verdict that matters to us the most:
The audience’s verdict.
The film is called ANAKAPALLI.
The story and a significant part of the filming belong to Anakapalli.The producer himself comes from Anakapalli.
Therefore, with complete confidence in the film, the makers have decided to conduct 4–5 special public screenings in Anakapalli before the theatrical release.
