Hero Vijay Deverakonda Completes an Outstanding 10-Year Journey as a Lead Actor
Actor Vijay Deverakonda has completed a remarkable 10-year journey as a solo lead hero. His first film as a lead, Pelli Choopulu, was released on this day in 2016. Before that, Vijay had already earned recognition for his performance in Yevade Subramanyam. However, it was Pelli Choopulu that marked his debut as a solo hero. With his very first lead role, he won the love and admiration of audiences and delivered a major box-office success. Following the film’s success, there was no looking back for Vijay.
Over the years, he has built an impressive filmography with successful movies such as Arjun Reddy, Geetha Govindam, Taxiwaala, Kushi, The Family Star, and Kingdom, eventually emerging as a pan-India star. He also made a special appearance as Arjuna in Kalki, starring Prabhas. By taking on ambitious projects, Vijay continues to contribute to expanding the reach of Telugu cinema on a pan-India scale. Vijay is currently working on Rowdy Janardhan, directed by Ravi Kiran Kola and produced by Dil Raju and Shirish. The film is gearing up for a December release. He is also starring in Ranabali, directed by Rahul Sankrityan and produced by Mythri Movie Makers in association with T-Series. The film is currently under production.
