Suriya’s Next with Jithu Madhavan to Blend Crime, Comedy, Romance and Thriller
Director Jithu Madhavan, who earned recognition for his distinctive filmmaking style with Romancham and Aavesham, is gearing up for an exciting new project featuring Tamil superstar Suriya. Titled Scene, the film is generating interest among moviegoers, particularly because of its unusual combination of genres and the fresh on-screen presentation planned for its lead actor.
In a recent interaction, Jithu Madhavan expressed his happiness over the positive response his previous films received from Tamil audiences. Both Romancham and Aavesham found appreciation beyond their original Malayalam-speaking audience, helping the filmmaker establish a strong following among Tamil movie lovers as well.
Speaking about Scene, the director revealed that the film will be a blend of crime, comedy, romance and thriller elements. Rather than sticking to a conventional genre, the project aims to bring multiple flavours together, offering audiences a different cinematic experience.
One of the major highlights will be Suriya’s character. According to Jithu Madhavan, the actor will be presented in a different avatar, featuring a stylish look alongside comedy and action. Known for his ability to transform himself according to the demands of a character, Suriya’s collaboration with the filmmaker has raised expectations about what could be a refreshing addition to his filmography.
The director’s approach to characterisation and his ability to combine humour with intense situations have been key aspects of his earlier films. His collaboration with Suriya is therefore expected to attract attention, especially among audiences curious to see how his distinctive style translates into Tamil cinema.
Jithu Madhavan also spoke about the importance of Nazriya Nazim’s role in the film. He described her character as a pivotal one in the narrative, suggesting that she will have a significant part to play in the story.
Interestingly, the director admitted that he initially had doubts about whether Nazriya would accept the project, considering her limited involvement in Tamil films in recent years. Nazriya, who was also the producer of Aavesham, surprised him by immediately agreeing to the film after he narrated the story.
Her quick acceptance appears to have strengthened the excitement surrounding the project.
With Suriya in a stylish new role, Nazriya playing a crucial character and Jithu Madhavan bringing his distinctive storytelling approach, Scene promises an intriguing combination of crime, comedy, romance and action-packed thrills. Further details about the film’s production schedule, supporting cast and release plans are awaited.
