Jailer 2 Box Office: Rajinikanth’s Film Eyes ₹425 Crore Worldwide in Its Opening Weekend!
Superstar Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 is creating a massive storm at the global box office, emerging as one of the biggest opening-weekend performers in Indian cinema. The Nelson Dilipkumar directorial has reportedly collected ₹325 crore worldwide in its first three days, setting new benchmarks for Tamil-origin cinema and reinforcing Rajinikanth’s unmatched box-office pull.
Following a phenomenal opening on Thursday, the action entertainer maintained its strong momentum on Friday and Saturday. With Sunday expected to contribute another ₹100 crore, the film is targeting an extraordinary ₹425 crore worldwide in its extended four-day opening weekend.
According to the reported figures, Jailer 2 opened with a massive ₹130 crore on Thursday. The film continued its impressive run on Friday, collecting approximately ₹85 crore. On Saturday, the Rajinikanth-starrer witnessed another strong day, earning an estimated ₹110 crore worldwide. These figures take its reported three-day total to ₹325 crore.
The projected Sunday collection of ₹100 crore could push the film’s opening-weekend total to an unprecedented level. If these estimates materialise, Jailer 2 could register one of the biggest opening weekends ever for an Indian film and potentially set a new record for a Tamil-origin movie.
Rajinikanth’s immense popularity across Tamil Nadu, the Telugu states, Kerala, Karnataka, North India and overseas markets has been a major driving force behind the film’s impressive performance. The sequel has also generated considerable excitement among fans eager to witness the return of the iconic character and Nelson’s distinctive blend of action, humour and stylish presentation.
The film’s strong opening numbers have placed it among the most closely watched box-office performers of the year. Its performance over the coming days will be crucial in determining whether it can sustain the momentum and move towards the coveted ₹1,000 crore worldwide milestone.
However, the Sunday figure remains an expectation rather than a confirmed collection, and the reported numbers should be treated as provisional until verified by reliable box-office sources.
With ₹325 crore reportedly collected in just three days and Sunday projected to add another ₹100 crore, Jailer 2 is firmly positioned for a spectacular opening weekend. For Superstar Rajinikanth and Tamil cinema, the film’s phenomenal start could mark another historic chapter in their box-office journey.
