Mammootty Begins Shooting for Nithish Sahadev’s Ambitious Gangster Drama
Malayalam Megastar Mammootty has officially joined the sets of his much-awaited film directed by Nithish Sahadev, marking a major milestone in one of the most anticipated Malayalam projects currently in production. The veteran actor commenced shooting today as the team continues filming in Karaikudi, Tamil Nadu, where the first schedule is underway.
The untitled film has generated immense curiosity ever since it was announced, primarily because it brings together Mammootty and Nithish Sahadev, the filmmaker who won critical acclaim with his debut feature Falimy. After making a successful entry into Tamil cinema with Thalaivar Thambi Thalaimaiyil, Nithish is now returning to Malayalam with what is expected to be his biggest project to date.
The film is being produced under the Mammootty Kampany banner, further raising expectations among fans. Earlier, the project was formally launched with a traditional pooja ceremony in Kochi before moving into production. With Mammootty now joining the shoot, the makers have officially entered the next phase of filming.
