Prabhas’ Fauzi Postponed! Release Date Dropped, New Date Yet to Be Announced
Pan-Indian Star Prabhas’ much-awaited period action drama Fauzi, which was earlier scheduled for a grand worldwide theatrical release on December 3, 2026, has officially been postponed. The makers confirmed the development at the pre-release event of Nani’s The Paradise on September 21, putting an end to the ongoing speculation surrounding the film’s release plans.
Directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, Fauzi is one of the most anticipated projects in Prabhas’ lineup. The film had previously locked December 3 as its release date, with the announcement generating considerable buzz among fans and the trade. However, the latest update confirms that the film will not arrive on the scheduled date.
Mythri Movie Makers producer Y. Ravi Shankar made the official announcement while addressing the gathering at The Paradise pre-release event. He stated that Fauzi would be delayed slightly and assured fans that the film would present Prabhas in a never-before-seen manner. However, the makers have not announced a new release date yet.
The postponement had been widely discussed in industry circles over the past few days, particularly after other major Telugu films began announcing dates around the same December window. The official confirmation has now cleared the uncertainty regarding Fauzi’s December release.
Fauzi marks the first collaboration between Prabhas and Hanu Raghavapudi. The director, known for films such as Sita Ramam, is attempting a period action drama with a military backdrop. The project is being mounted on a large scale by Mythri Movie Makers and is planned as a multilingual release.
Alongside Prabhas, the film features Imanvi as the female lead, while Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, Jaya Prada and Chaitra J. Achar are part of the important cast. Vishal Chandrashekar is composing the music, with Sudeep Chatterjee handling cinematography.
While fans will have to wait longer to witness Fauzi on the big screen, the makers are yet to reveal the film’s next release window. For now, Prabhas’ Fauzi has officially moved out of its December 3 slot, with a fresh release date expected to be announced later.
