Synopsis:
Raghav ( Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas) will be arranging a trip to ghost houses in their place along with Maithili (Anupama Parameshwaran ). In the process, they pick a ghost house in Kishkindhapuri area along with eleven visitors. What kind of hardships they go in ghost house? Does ghost really exist? What kind of troubles they go in the process? Finally, how will they come out of all the messages created in the house, forms crucial crux.
Performances:
As usual, Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas is good in his role. He gave his best for the given role which has so much depth in it. Special mention to his acting in the tense scenes in the second half which play a key role in the proceedings.Heroine Anupama Parameshwaran gets a meaty role in which she excelled so brilliantly. Especially, her acting during climax portions will literally arrest the audience and get involved in the movie.Other supporting artists such as Makarand Deshpande ,Tanikella Bharani ,Hyper Aadi,Sudarshan,Srikanth Iyengar and Bhadram is fine in their limited screen presence. The guy who played the key role as a disable person did a nice job.
Analysis:
Firstly, the writing and sound design are to mentioned as they are the major highlights of the film. Darshan Palakollu and K Bala Ganesh should be appreciated for their work in terms of writing.
Coming to director Koushik Pegallapati, for the most part of the movie he did a good work but he focused more on the first half scenes. It is not that the scenes that come during the course of time are bad but looks dragged to an extent.
Technical Department:
Music by Chaitan Bharadwaj is okay but would have been even better. Background score wise, Sam C S did a terrific work. The Cinematography by Chinmay Salaskar is nice as his work is visible in every frame of the film .The editing by Niranjan Devaramane is sharp as the movie has hardly any unwanted episodes. The VFX and graphics work is top-notch. The production values for this high budget movie are good.As above said, the direction by Koushik is largely good but would have been better.
Verdict:
Altogether, Kishkindhapuri is an new age horror film that has some spine chilling horror episodes that will literally take the audience mood into the movie. Lead artists performance, especially Anupama Parameshwaran ‘s acting and hero Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas’ screen presence are impressive. Hence making the film a one watch drama during this weekend.
