Synopsis:

Dhurandhar: The Revenge narrates the gripping journey of a man who transforms from a wronged youngster into a fearless and calculating spy. Set against a backdrop of revenge, politics, and underworld power struggles, the film traces the life of Jaskirat Singh Rangi, played by Ranveer Singh. In the year 2000, Jaskirat, a 21-year-old aspiring army recruit, takes a drastic step after tragedy strikes his family. When MLA Sukhwinder Singh and his associates mercilessly kill his father and subject his sisters to horrific violence, Jaskirat retaliates in a fit of rage, wiping out the MLA and his entire family. This act lands him in prison, marking the beginning of a new chapter in his life. Two years later, his destiny takes a sharp turn when Ajay Sanyal, portrayed by R. Madhavan, recruits him for a covert mission known as Operation Dhurandhar. This sets the foundation for Jaskirat’s transformation into Hamza Ali Mazari a man who would soon become a formidable force across borders. The narrative then shifts to August 2009, shortly after Hamza eliminates gangster Rehman Dakait, played by Akshaye Khanna.

In the aftermath, power struggles erupt in Lyari, with Arshad Pappu stepping in to fill the vacuum. However, Hamza, along with Uzair Baloch and his allies, rises in defiance. As tensions escalate, Uzair brutally eliminates Arshad Pappu in a shocking act that forces the Pakistani authorities to intervene and arrest him. His influence continues to grow as he ventures into politics, eventually establishing control over Karachi itself. Hamza’s meteoric rise and ruthless reputation soon draw the attention of a powerful figure known as Bade Sahab. What unfolds next delves deeper into espionage, power dynamics, and the true purpose behind Hamza’s journey, forming the crux of the film’s remaining narrative.
