Akhil Akkineni, who is on a break for almost three years is back again with a rural drama titled, Lenin. Directed by Murali Kishore Abburu, the expectations on the film are sky high among the moviegoers. Let’s Review Lenin which got released on July 10, 2026.
Synopsis:
Inspired by Mahabharatham, Lenin story revolves around the characters accordingly. Set against Temple town, Tirupati, Lenin explores the village politics. How a youngster named Lenin ( Akhil Akkineni) fits in the plotline? What is the main twist in the heroine (Bharathi)Bhagyashree Borse, that forms the crucial crux.
Performances:
Akhil Akkineni delivers rooted performance. He is just amazing in his role and his acting in the action sequences is noteworthy.
Bhagyashree Borse is surprise package for the film. She is outstanding on the screen and her chemistry with Akhil is an eye candy treat for the audience.
Rajeev Kanakala is perfect in his role as local politician. Other supporting artists such as Brahmaji and Getup Seenu are okay in their limited screen time.
Analysis:
Director Murali Kishore Abburu picks a intriguing concept but his screenplay falls flat in the first half.
Though the film, pace picks up during the crucial second half, the overall impact looks dull and all the characters in the movie are not utilized properly. If the team have corrected the scenes on paper itself, the result would have been much better added the tighter screenplay.
Technical Support:
The film has a strong technical support. Be it the music by Thaman or the Cinematography by Naveen is so perfectly designed.
The editing by Naveen Nooli is passable. The production values by Sithara Entertainment looks lavish on the screen. Annapurna Studios support is clearly visible on the screen.
Verdict:
Altogether, Lenin is an enjoyable rural love drama that has a good Interval portions followed by the good second half which offers good amount of action sequences in which Akhil surprises with screen presence. Hence, making the film a good one time watch during this weekend.
