Anakapalli: Engaging Emotional Tale (3/5)

Starring Vikram Sahidev and Sandhya Vasishta as the lead pair, a movie titled, Anakapalli has created a positive buzz among the moviegoers. Co-starring Tarak Ponnappa in negative shaded role, the film has hit the screens on October 2,2026. Directed by Khagesh Tammineni, Anakapalli is carrying good expectations among the audience. Let’s Review Anakapalli.

Story:

Surya (Vikram Sahidev), a youngster from Anakapalli, leads a carefree and fun-filled life. He falls in love with a girl (Sandhya Vasishta) from the same village. Meanwhile, Suyodhana (Tarak Ponnappa) runs a powerful gang and maintains his dominance in the town.

Unexpectedly, Surya becomes part of Suyodhana’s gangster group. However, at one point, he is forced to choose between his lover and Suyodhana. Surya decides to distance himself from the mafia world and eventually turns against Suyodhana.

How did Surya get involved in the mafia activities of Anakapalli? Why did he have to make a crucial decision regarding his relationship with his lover? Why did Surya turn against a powerful boss like Suyodhana? And what kind of challenges did he face after rebelling against Suyodhana? To know the Answers to the above questions you have to watch the film on the sliver screen.

Performances:

Vikram Sahidev  has improved a lot as an actor. His facial expressions and body language is impressive. Especially, in the action sequences, his natural acting brings depth to the proceedings.

Heroine Sandhya Vasishta is cute in her village belle look. Her performance during the crucial proceedings in the film is attractive. Her chemistry with Vikram Sahidev is captivating too. 

Tarak Ponnappa impressed in the grey shaded role. His appearance and screen presence is a major plus for the film as the local rowdy. Other actors such as Indraja, 

Sangeetha Krish are okay in their limited roles. 

While Trinadha Rao Nakkina is impressive in his key role, Nandini Rai provides an eye candy treat with her glamorous movements in a special song. 

Analysis:

Story provided by Trinadha Rao Nakkina a has a uniqueness in it. His screenplay was decent with twists and turns in the plotline. Establishing a gangster setup in a rural drama is not an easy task, but the team pulled off the task nicely.

The emotional angle in the plot makes everyone emotional and is was nicely inserted in the proceedings. The climax portions is dealt nicely with an unexpected journey.

Coming to the direction part, Khagesh Tammineni has handled the script beautifully. If he was screenplay writer, the movie might have looked in an even better way, when it comes to the presentation.

Technical Support:

Music composed by Davzand is good as his songs and background Score worked in a decent manner.

The cinematography by Maaya V is decent as his framing is apt to rural setup. On the other hand, the editing work by Srikrishna Attaluri is slick.

Other technical team has supported the film in a decent manner. Last but not the least, the Dialogues given by Uday Bhagavatula are life line for this rustic rural drama.

Verdict:

Altogether, Anakapalli is an enjoyable commercial drama that has an unexpected climax portions. The emotional bond between son and mother and certain engaging elements make the film a family watch during this weekend.
